What Would Miss Simone Have To Say?

Remembering Nina Simone on her birthday (Feb. 21, 1933 - April 21, 2003). She was one of the most extraordinary artists of the twentieth century, an icon of American music. She was the consummate musical storyteller, a griot as she would come to learn, who used her remarkable talent to create a legacy of liberation, empowerment, passion, and love through a magnificent body of works.

“You can't help it. An artist's duty, as far as I'm concerned, is to reflect the times.”

What do you think Nina Simone would have to say about the state of the world today?
