    He was one of Canada’s most renowned writers, a man who broke barriers for black authors, and who told stories about being black and the immigrant experience.

    On February 9th, his good friends are paying tribute to his life, with Jazz Valentines for Austin Clarke.

    Community Arts Reporter Shirley Camia spoke with host, organizer and Canada’s Parliamentary Poet Laureate, George Elliott Clarke, for the details.
