Hamilton Airport Falls Flat on Musician Proposal

Thursday, 31 July 2014 11:31

Last week the John C. Munro International Airport in Hamilton put a call out to area musicians to play a 35-90 minute set at the airport as part of a week of community outreach events. The catch is that the musicians are expected to play for "exposure" with no financial compensation.

As you may be able to imagine, this has ruffled a lot of feathers in the Hamilton musical community.

In her report, Garvia Bailey speaks about this with members of the community.

Thank you to all of you who contributed during our Early Spring Campaign.

You are the reason we are able to return to our award-winning programming.
