    This week's "Memory" comes from brothers Mark and Terry Promane. Mark and Terry continue in the tradition of the Heath Brothers, the Jones Brothers, and the Brecker Brothers.  These two award-winning musical brothers have carved out successful careers as performing artists and educators.  Mark heads the Woodwind Department at Humber College and Terry is the head of the Jazz Studies Department at University of Toronto.

    Don is “multi” in many ways.  He’s a multi-award winning musician, being honoured with Junos, Jazz Report and National Jazz Awards, and as an Officer of the Order of Canada.  He’s multi-faceted, working as a recording artist, composer, recording engineer, producer, and educator.  And he’s a multi-instrumentalist, working as a drummer / percussionist, pianist, bassist, and vibraphonist.
