Romeo Candido  is a Toronto based director and musician, who since having his son, has become that weepy dad that wants to Instagram his every step.

"It’s the late 80's and there's a movie out called She's Having a Baby. It's all about young adults having a baby, not feeling ready, and having their lives change.

I remember seeing it and at the same time loving the voice of Kate Bush, especially the song "This Woman's Work." It was interesting to have a woman sing on behalf of a man, and in this case, a man wondering how his woman is doing, separated from him, delivering his child.

Fast-forward two years ago, after a 24-hour labor, when our first child was not coming out. I was instructed to wait in the hospital hallway while my wife was getting ready for a caesarian. I was left alone.  It was quiet, around 3am.  and some kind of musical muscle memory decided to flex itself, and flood the silence with Kate's ethereal voice.  And here I was 'standing outside', like the lyrics of the song, alone, waiting for my son.  even now thinking about the song, in that silence, makes me cry, and bow to the timelessness of the song."
