This week's music memory comes from Rick Campanelli, ET Canada Host, man about town, and a good friend to JAZZ.FM91.

"I grew up in a traditional Italian home in Hamilton where music was always playing - my parents loved the Italian/American singers - Perry Como, Vic Damone, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Buddy Greco, and of course their fave Canadian singer Paul Anka... But Louis Prima's music has always been the soundtrack to my life. My first and earliest memory of Louis was back when I was 7/8 and sitting in the back of my parents' 1977 Plymouth Volare as they drove my siblings and I to our soccer games my parents would listen to a golden oldies radio station in Hamilton... We'd hear all the classic Prima tunes playing..."Just a Gigolo - I Ain't Got Nobody," "Buona Sera," Zooma Zooma. As I grew up I would hear Prima's songs in movies, commercials and in tv shows - his sound was everywhere including one of my fave movies of all time "Big Night". Prima was also a big part of my wedding a couple years ago as I lip synced his hit "Angelina" to my Angelina on our big night!"
