First Listen: Earl Klugh - If I Fell

Every Friday, Brad Barker goes through the pile of CD’s on his desk and his hard drive to find a brand new song to play for you.  It’s called your “First Listen”

Guitarist Earl Klugh once said. “Everything has its place. The fun of it is that you are not in a box. Music has no boundaries,” and his latest album Hand Picked holds no boundaries in the songs he has chosen and the music turns he takes with his strings.

And oh the stories those strings hold. From joining George Benson's touring band at the age of 20 to winning a Grammy a couple of years later with Bob James for the album One on One to recording over 30 albums of his own, Earl Klugh has been wowing audiences with his acoustic wonder.

With this album Hand Picked, one of the stand out tracks is his take on Lennon and McCartney’s If I Fell, which he describes as his preferred song from the Beatles songbook.
