First Listen: Michael Buble - "You Make Me Feel So Young"

Every Friday, Brad Barker goes through the pile of CD’s on his desk and his hard drive to find a brand new song to play for you.  It’s called your “First Listen”

Michael Buble’s new album is called To Be Loved and as he says: “I think it’s the best album I’ve ever made…I know every artist on earth says that when their new album is coming out but really - this time it’s true. I swear. You can ask my mother."

A little bit sad, a lot of happy, it rocks, its soulful and most important for the world of Buble, it swings. Quite a few collaborations as well.  Moments with Reese Witherspoon on the cute classic "Something stupid". Bryan Adams joins Michael for one of the four originals on the record "After All".  The Puppini Sisters show up, Naturally 7, Bob Rock produces… it’s a Michael Buble album. Even our musical director from this year's JAZZ LIVES Lou Pomanti arranges a tune.

Your first listen is a great track to head into the weekend with. As Buble himself writes, "'You Make Me Feel So Young' is surely one of the happiest songs I’ve ever recorded. We took the arrangement and really made it swing. It’s pure joy. I’ve sung the song for years but it’s taken on new meaning for me now as I’m about to become a parent for the first time."

The new album for Michael Buble is called To Be Loved, your first listen is the Sinatra signature,  “You Make Me Feel So Young”
