Bobby Carcasses, a top name on the Cuban jazz scene, was awarded the Cuban National Music Award earlier this year based on his influence and body of work.

Dalhousie Gets $10 Million for Arts Program

Halifax philanthropists Fred and Elizabeth Fountain are looking to make a name for the east coast city as a Canadian performance hub with a $10 million donation to help Dalhousie University start a performing arts school.
