A Jewish Boy's Christmas

Sunday, December 14 2014, 7:00am - 9:00pm
Sam Broverman with peter Hill (piano), Jordan O'Connor (bass), guest vocalist Whitney Ross-Barris and members of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. Some of the most popular Christmas and seasonal winter songs were written by Jewish songwriters. The list includes “White Christmas” (Irving Berlin), “The Christmas Song” (Mel Torme), “Sleigh Ride” (Mitchell Parish), “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” (Frank Loesser) and goes on. We will help you digest dinner at the Jazz Bistro with some of the most beloved and some of the funniest songs of the Christmas season. At some point I will be asking Whitney the musical question “Can I Interest You in Hanukah?”. Be sure to be there to hear her answer.
Location: The Jazz Bistro, 251 Victoria St.
