Gavin has a diverse experience that includes song, stage, tv, and film in his career over the years. He is a three-time Juno nominated solo recording artist and has been lucky enough to perform around the world, sharing the stage with such greats as Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Jill Scott, James Brown, and Deborah Cox to name a few. His theatre highlights include lead roles in the original Canadian companies of RENT and The Lion King (Mirvish), The Tempest (CanStage), As You Like It (CanStage), and Smokey Joe’s Café (Stage West). From singing anthems in arenas and stadiums across the country, Gavin has also toured globally as a featured vocalist on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean cruise lines. Gavin is also known for his work as a member of Canadian A Cappella institution The Nylons, including 6 albums and in particular two leads that were Juno nominated radio singles with the band. He is currently a core featured solo vocalist with Jeans n Classics, and headlines many Pops concerts with Symphony and Rock Orchestras across North America each year. Gavin has just finished a new solo jazz recording entitled “For All We Know” (Slaight Entertainment) featuring Bill King on piano. It was released to rave reviews, including 4 out of 4 stars by the Toronto Star and had its worldwide debut release party, right here at Jazz Bistro.
