Ray Jessel at Jazz Bistro

Jazz Bistro is excited to present songwriter, singer, and entertainer extraordinaire, Ray Jessel. Co-composer/lyricist of the Broadway musical about Sherlock Holmes, “Baker Street,” his songs have been recorded by Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, Kate Smith, Sammy Davis Jr., Michael Feinstein and John Pizzarelli. He was the last lyricist to work with Richard Rodgers, on the musical version of “I Remember Mama.” Jessel was writer and/or producer for the Dean Martin Show, The Carol Burnett Show, The Love Boat and the hit series “Head Of The Class.” He began a new career as a performer (at age 72!) and has since appeared in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Toronto, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and in New York, where he is a fixture at “Don’t Tell Mama”. He is the winner of a BACKSTAGE Bistro Award and five MAC awards. MUSIC CHARGE $25.00/$20.00 in advance MUSIC STARTS AT 7pm
