JAZZ.FM91 and Kronenbourg 1664 Cabaret Series

JAZZ.FM91 is very excited to present the JAZZ.FM91 - Kronenbourg 1664 Cabaret Series. This four-part cabaret series will take place at Hugh’s Room — one of Canada’s premier live music venues. 

The series kicked off on October 11th with Platinum Award winning writer Ann Hampton Callaway whose songs are featured on six of Barbra Streisand’s recent CDs. Ann’s unique singing style blends jazz and traditional pop, making her a mainstay in concert halls, theatres and jazz clubs as well as in the recording studio, on television, and in film.

On December 7th we featured Daryl Sherman - a sparkling mainstay of Manhattan nightlife, singer/pianist internationally acclaimed for a stellar 14-year run at the Waldorf Astoria where she played Cole Porter's Steinway.

January 11th master of many trades in music and media Ben Sidran performed. A Jazz pianist of international renown, lyricist of a rock classic, award-winning national broadcaster, record and video producer, scholar, author, journalist, and father to a second generation musical prodigy, Sidran has been a major player in modern jazz, rock and pop for over forty years.

March 15th will feature Ian Shaw -  Ian has amassed a number of highly acclaimed albums and is a popular performer both in the UK and the US. An incredibly colourful character, he has been cited, as one of the world's finest male jazz vocalists.  Shaw’s career in performance began unusually for a jazz musician on the Alternative Cabaret Circuit, alongside such performers as Julian Clary, Rory Bremner and Jo Brand.
