Miles Davis Forever Stamp Dedicated

The Miles Davis commemorative stamp, by the U.S. Postal Service, was offically dedicated this week during a ceremony at the Hollywood Bowl's Museum Terrace.

Cheryl Davis (Miles' daughter), Erin Davis (Miles' son) and Miles' nephew Vince Wilburn Jr all attended the event.

American Idol's Joshua Ledet performed the National anthem and he was followed by a performance featuring trumpet player Gabriel Johnson as well as speeches by musician/actor/author Henry Rollins and bassist/former Davis collaborater Marcus Miller.

The evening was hosted by Bubba Jackson from KJAZZ in California.

The Miles Davis stamp, along with one honouring Edith Piaf are available now through the U.S. Postal Service.
