Donald Sutherland Honoured by France

Veteran Canadian actor Donald Suthland has been awarded the honour "Commander of the Arts" in France for his contribution to cinema.

Sutherland received the award on Saturday, June 9th, at a ceremony in Paris. Fomer French Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand presented Sutherland with the award praising his "extraordinary" career.

Sutherland, who can currently be seen in the blockbuster "The Hunger Games", said he loved France and thanked his French-speking wife for introducing him to the country's culture through "cinema, but also cheese and baguettes."
