The 2nd Annual Toronto Theatre Critics' Awards

The English Language premiere of "The Small Room at the Top of The Stairs," B.C. roller-coaster musical "Ride The Cyclone" and Civil-rights musical "Caroline, or Change" were the big winners at the 2012 Toronto Theatre Critics' Awards, each netting three awards.

Soulpepper hit "Kim's Convenience" was named best new play from Canada, while drama "The Golden Dragon" was named as best international play of the year, in what is only the second year for the awards show.

In addition to the awards, actor Eric Peterson was given a special citation for his work in The Company Theatre's "The Test," Soulpepper's "You Can't Take it With You," and the docudrama about genetically modified food, "Seeds."
