WELCOME RBC AS SPONSOR OF JAZZOLOGY

JAZZ.FM91 announced RBC Royal Bank has renewed their sponsorship of Jazzology - one of JAZZ.FM91’s most significant programs contributing to the achievement of the station’s mandate to enrich the cultural, educational and community experience of their audience.

For the third year, RBC Royal Bank will support this distinctive educational program that offers a unique experience for emerging music students pursuing industry careers. An accredited part of the curriculum for jazz students from the University of Toronto, York University, Humber College and Mohawk College, Jazzology provides a first opportunity for students to showcase their talents and accomplishments, and share their stories and love of music in a professional environment.  Jazzology serves as a creative vehicle and an investment in the future of Canadian musicians and contributes to the development of the students’ business skills by encouraging them to communicate and promote their artistic talents.

In a special edition of Jazzology Prime Time hosted Thursday, November 28th at 5PM, Brad Barker, Host of Jazzology, was joined by Barry Elmes, Instructor from York University, Jazzology alumni Rob Cappelletto and Mark Herrera, Susan Stauth, RBC’s Regional Vice President Toronto West and Ross Porter, President and CEO, JAZZ.FM91. This special edition of Jazzology paid recognition to alumni of the program and recognized the extraordinary work that RBC Royal Bank has done for emerging artists in Toronto and across Canada.

“We are all very pleased to welcome back RBC Royal Bank back for their third consecutive season as the Presenting Sponsor of Jazzology. Continued support from the RBC Emerging Artists Project significantly impacts the success of the program and I’m grateful that we have a partner that continues to recognize the importance of fostering young Canadian jazz talent,” said Ross Porter, CEO and President, JAZZ.FM91.

“The arts do so much to enrich our lives and enhance our communities,” said Susan Stauth, Regional Vice President Toronto West. “We’re so proud to be able to support the Jazzology program as it helps young artists bridge the gap from the academic to the professional world.”
