    Toronto, Ontario (March 8, 2011) – JAZZ.FM91 announced today effective Monday, March 14 th, 2011, Heather Bambrick will be the official host “Dinner Jazz”, heard weekdays from 6PM to 9PM.

    Since 2001, Heather has produced and hosted “Sunday Afternoon Jazz”, and will continue to do so along with her new hosting duties on “Dinner Jazz”, two of JAZZ.FM91’s popular programs.

    “I am honoured and excited… I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be continuing with the show that Brad Barker developed so incredibly well,” said Heather Bambrick.

    Bambrick has studied and performed with some of the world’s greatest jazz talents including Phil Nimmons, Kenny Wheeler, Guido Basso, Peter Appleyard, John Lamb, Jim Galloway, and Rob McConnell. In addition to her own successful record releases, she has recorded with numerous acts, including the Royal Jelly Orchestra, Carol Welsman, the Caliban Quartet, and The Beehive Singers of which she was a founding member. As a group singer and as a solo artist, she has toured Canada several times, performed frequently throughout the United States, and been featured at regional, national, and international jazz festivals.

    As announced previously, Brad Barker moved from “Dinner Jazz” to hosting the station’s “Afternoon Drive” show on November 29 th, 2010, and Walter Venafro, host of “Saturday Afternoon Jazz”, has been hosting “Dinner Jazz” until the new host was announced.

    JAZZ.FM91 has been called “One of the Best Radio Stations in the World” by BusinessWeek, and is Canada’s only registered not-for-profit radio station dedicated to the jazz community and music education. JAZZ.FM91 can be heard live on the air at 91.1FM, streamed online at www.jazz.fm, or listened to on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, with the free JAZZ.FM91 App.
