Harry Connick Jr. Set For Broadway Musical

Harry Connick Jr. will hit the Broadway stage again this fall in the newly-updated musical "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever." Connick will play the lead role of Dr. Mark Bruckner, a psychiatrist and professor who delves deep into the mind of an unusual patient using hypnosis.

The show has had multiple runs on Broadway, the first of which opened in 1967 with Barbara Harris as Daisy Gamble and John Cullum as Dr. Mark Bruckner. Both actors earned Tony nominations for their performances. The show was later reworked with Barbra Streisand and Yves Montand in 1970.

Michael Mayer, the Tony-winning director behind "Spring Awakening" and "American Idiot" will direct and Peter Parnell will provide a revamped book. Alan Jay Lerner, author of the original book for the musical, composed the lyrical content with music from Burton Lane.
