Frank Sinatra Remembered

On the 10th anniversary of his death, Frank Sinatra is being commemorated by the declaration of "Frank Sinatra Day" in the city of Las Vegas, and the U.S. Postal Service has issued a postage stamp in his honour this month.

Sinatra was the recipient of eleven Grammy Awards, including the Grammy Trustees Award, Grammy Legend Award and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He was also honoured with the Kennedy Center Honors in 1983 and awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Ronald Reagan in 1985 and the Congressional Gold Medal in 1997. He was born in Hoboken, New Jersey on December 12, 1915 and died on May 14, 1998.
