In the spring of 1972, the Count Basie Orchestra was touring in Europe. Two concerts were filmed, possibly for TV, and are up as one at YouTube.

Stan Freberg: Clever Comedy

Stan Freberg was many things. Dull wasn't one of them. He was an advertising copywriter and creative director, voice actor, radio personality, singer and comedian starting in the late 1940s.

Over the course of five years, Chico O'Farrill (above) arranged part or all of 11 Count Basie albums—from Basie Meets Bond in 1965 to High Voltage in 1970.
