Interview - Michael League

Snarky Puppy is the brainchild of Michael League, a collection of musicians from the University of North Texas that started back in 2004.

Part jam-band, bigger part jazz band, Snarky Puppy, outside of its core has a rotating line-up of 27 members that each add their unique voice to the assemble.

Their most recent CD is called Ground Up with plans to release more new recordings before the end of the year.

On Wednesday, September 4th, Snarky Puppy played at Lee's Palace in Toronto.

In advance of the show, chief songwriter and leader of Snarky Puppy, Michael League, stopped by to talk to Brad about how the band came together, the concept behind the band, his feelings about Pat Metheny and more.
