Interview - Amy McConnell

From Django Reinhardt and Edith Piaf to Jean-Luc Ponty and Michel LeGrand, France has been the home to an extraordinary number of Jazz and Jazz-influenced musicians over the years.  France, as a whole, and Paris, in particular, helped influence a cultural and musical philosophy and helped carve the way for such iconic sounds as Cabaret, and Gypsy Jazz, among others.

On Friday, August 9, as part of our World Music Festival, JAZZ.FM91, along with the McMichael Canadian Art Collection is presenting "To Paris, with Love", a tribute to the romance and passion of French Music, and on Tuesday, July 30, we welcomed one of our featured artists, Amy McConnell, to talk about French jazz and the upcoming show.
