Interview - Barb Jungr

She’s been hailed as the UK’s answer to Edith Piaf and is widely regarded as one of the foremost interpreters of what is called “the new American songbook”.  Her records are celebrated internationally, receiving rave reviews from sources like the BBC, The New York Times, The Village Voice, and The Wall Street Journal.

Barb Jungr is so much more than just a vocalist – she’s also a composer, producer, actor, lyricist, radio host, educator, and author.  However, it’s her highly lauded ability to interpret an incredible array of music that’s won her awards like Best Cabaret Artist, and Outstanding Cabaret Vocalist, and that’s precisely why we’re delighted to have Barb Jungr as the next artist in our Cabaret Series on Marc 12, 2013 at Hugh's Room.

Barb called into "Wake Up!" with Heather Bambrick to talk about the show, what cabaret is to her, how she chooses her material and more!
