This Sunday from 8-9am, it’s another edition of Arts Toronto with your host Mark Wigmore on Jazz FM 91

This episode:

A trip northwest thru Toronto, past Brampton and Caledon, and ending at Hockley Valley to visit the set of the hit CBC/POP Network sitcom, Schitt’s Creek. Along with sightings of the Schitt’s Creek Motel and the clunker car owned by the Rose family, Mark gets a look at the bucolic surroundings, meets the crew, takes a tour of the set, and interviews members of the cast including Eugene Levy, Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire and Dan Levy. The show is putting the final touches on Season 4 to air this winter.

And, music man John Miller. The long time Artistic Producer of Stratford Summer Music explains the city’s decades long flirtation with a major music festival, unravels the 2017 concert schedule, digs down on the jazz offerings, and argues that Midsummer Music is rivaling Midsummer Night Dreams. He speaks to Mark from his office in Stratford.

All that, Garvia Bailey on the relationship between Miles Davis and Robert Glasper on Giant Steps, and beautiful jazz for a summer Sunday morning.
