    Interview - Alex Goodman

For years, if not decades, we at JAZZ.FM91 have been touting Canadian Jazz talent, stating unequivocally that Canadian musicians belong in their rightful places on international stages.  Of course, we know the names Peterson, McConnell, Krall, and Buble have represented well.

Now, Alex Goodman adds his name to the list of Canadian musicians being celebrated internationally.  He was recent awarded both first prize AND public’s choice at the 2014 Socar Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition – the first time a Canadian has received the honour!  Alex stopped by Wake Up! on Thursday, July 17, to talk to Heather about winning the award.
