    Garvia Bailey sits down with Jackie Richardson. The preeminent black vocalist in this country, Jackie’s voice and soul is in contact with centuries of black music, from field hollers through gospel and blues to jazz. She is a mother figure and mentor to two generations of singers, to whom her unique and powerful voice remains a constant inspiration.
