WELCOME RBC AS SPONSOR OF JAZZOLOGY

JAZZ.FM91 announced RBC Royal Bank as the Presenting Sponsor of “Jazzology” – one of JAZZ.FM91’s most significant programs contributing to the achievement of our mandate to enrich the cultural, educational and community experience of our audience.

This unique and unprecedented program is an accredited part of the curriculum for jazz students from the University of Toronto, York University, Humber College and Mohawk College, and provides a first opportunity for students to showcase their talents and accomplishments, and share their stories and love of music in a professional environment.  Jazzology provides a platform for these musicians of the future – a platform on which they can make a contribution to the arts.  In addition, our listeners learn about the development of emerging artists and the role educational institutions play in cultivating the next generation.

“Jazzology is an extremely significant program to our station and the students who benefit from the experience,” said Ross Porter, CEO and President, JAZZ.FM91.  We are grateful for the generous support of the RBC Emerging Artists Project and welcome RBC as an essential sponsor of the station.”

“We’re thrilled that we’re able to support Jazzology as part of the RBC Emerging Artists Project,” says Jennifer Tory, RBC’s Regional President for Greater Toronto. “We believe that up-and-coming artists have the power to enrich our lives and enhance our communities, and Jazzology can be a catalyst to professional success for so many of our emerging artists.”

Hosted by Brad Barker, Jazzology,  is heard Thursday nights at 9PM on JAZZ.FM91. Our new season starts in November - for an updated schedule and to learn more about the story behind the shows each week, visit www.jazz.fm/jazzology
