Ben Frost

Ben Frost is an innovative jazz trumpeter and composer from Vancouver, BC.

He completed his Bachelor Degree in Jazz Studies at Capilano University, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree at the University of Toronto. With the Capilano University A-band, he has performed alongside such high profile artists as Ambrose Akinmusire, Donny McCaslin, Norma Winstone and Randy Brecker. He has performed at the Vancouver International Jazz festival as both a leader and sideman, and played in the Ottawa Jazz Festival as a Member of the Ottawa Jazz Youth Summit. Ben’s melodic improvisations and thoughtful compositions draw inspiration from Kenny Wheeler, Wayne Shorter and Canadian Jazz icon, Brad Turner.
