Fred Hersch - Alive at the Vanguard

The Fred Hersch Trio is set to release their new double-live album, "Alive at the Vanguard," September 11th on Palmetto Records. The album will feature seven new originals by Hersch, four standards and seven classic jazz tunes.

This is the second album that Hersch recorded live at the Village Vanguard, the last being 2011's solo performance "Alone at the Vanguard."

To go along with this release, Hersch has planned an extensive tour starting in September, playing with the trio as well as other configurations.
