The Who Launching Quadrophenia Tour in Fall

Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey, the remaining members of The Who, have announced that they will be taking off on a 36-date Quadrophenia tour starting November 1st om Sunrise. Florida.

The last time that the band took the 1973 rock opera on the road was 1996 and 1997 and Townsend, at a press conference, said "We've been anxious to work together before we drop dead." Daltrey added, "I don't know how many more years I'll be able to sing this music."

The current line-up for The Who (orginal members Keith Moon and John Entwhistle have passed away) includes Ringo Starr's son Zak on drums, top session bass player Pino Palladino, Simon Townsend on guitar/backing vocals and Chris Stainton, Loren Gold and Frank Simes on keyboards.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale through the Who's official fan club, July 20th with tickets being made available to the general public on July 27th.
