Now Playing:

Celebrate ELLA with us !

On April 25th, we'll honour the legacy of Ella Fitzgerald.

Born Ella Jane Fitzgerald on April 25th, 1917, she remains the world's most respected vocalist and interpreter of song.

Every hour from 6am until 9pm, we'll play a track from Ella's vast catalogue and align it with thoughts from other musicians here at home and around the world. Hear how Jamie Cullum, Larnell Lewis, Holly Cole, Jason Marsalis, Emilie Claire Barlow, Robi Botos and more, feel about her contribution to the world of Jazz.

We'll set up this celebration with a special Live to Air the evening before with Heather Bambrick, Barbra Lica, Tia Brazda, David Restivo, Morgan Childs, Ross MacIntyre and Kevin Turcotte too! Listen in at 7:00pm to hear JAZZ.FM91's tribute to The First Lady of Song live from our Long and McQuade Performance Hall.
